Day 3 - July 18

Edinburgh, Scotland

Monday was our day to tour Edinburgh, specifically Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. We went by double-decker bus to the Princes Street stop, which is right in the shadow of the Castle. Once off the bus, we headed to the Royal Mile and then split up to do shopping, lunch, and general exploring few hours.

The afternoon was spent touring Edinburgh Castle. It's good to note that Great Britain recorded its highest temperature ever, over 40°C (100°F) in London. It was not quite that hot in Edinburgh, more like 32°C (90 °F), but still a record. Our Scouts were definitely feeling the heat and the jet lag that afternoon.

We headed back to the Scout Hut and proceeded to make a spaghetti dinner complete with garlic bread and various seasonings. The rest of the evening was uneventful. Everyone was worn out by the day and ready for a good night's sleep.
