Cost:
We expect the Maryland Blair Atholl Contingent fees to be around $3,000. This may adjust downward based upon the current cost of airfare and the known cost of previous contingents, but we wanted to put out the conservative number so you aren't shocked. As a contingent we will investigate fundraising opportunities, but we also encourage you to take part in the opportunities offered by your home unit. To ease the burden of payment, we will offer a schedule of payments of about $350 every other month through May. As exact costs become known, this payment schedule and the total amount due may change.
Patrols:
A Contingent Patrol consists of up to 6 Scouts, including the Patrol Leader. The Patrol can be Scouts from one or several Troops, but the Patrol Leader will be chosen by the Scouts in that patrol during the Pre-Jamborette planning phase before we leave. For this trip, we are hoping to register 12 Scouts.
Leaders:
Our contingent will be led by a minimum of 4 adult leaders, consisting of at least one of each gender. Until 6 or more Scouts sign up, we are confirming no more leaders (we don’t want to create false hopes). However, adults wishing to be considered as potential leaders (if enough Scouts sign up) should contact our Contingent leader via the Contact Us form on this site. Applications are taken on a first-come-first served basis. Please note that the number of adults we are allowed to take with us is limited by the Jamborette due to staffing and Scout/Leader ratios. We will do everything in out power to get adult leaders registered.

FIRST, interested Scouts should FIRST Contact Us via the form on this website. Please be sure to send us at least one of your parent's e-mail addresses in the MESSAGE section of the form so that we can maintain YPT when replying to you.
SECOND we will reply with, and you will need to promptly complete and return, the Maryland Blair Atholl Scout Application and the Consent Form, and return it to us for processing.
THIRD, your application will be reviewed and we will request a $350 down payment be sent via check or Venmo to us.
FOURTH, confirmation of your acceptance into the Contingent will follow shortly by email.
