Day 17 - August 1

Our trip today was a bus tour to Eilan Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye. We had a phenomenal tour guide who didn’t just give us the standard tour; she drove us through some of the most scenic portions of the Highlands, described the geography of Scotland, the difference between lochs and firths, glens and straths, and sea lochs and fresh lochs. We learned the mythology of the Isle of Skye, including how two witch sisters were turned into mountains, and the legend behind the Old Man of Storr rock formation.

On the return trip, we took another route through the Highlands, and even more beautiful scenery.
